From daily walks to potty breaks, to extended care during travel times, we individually personalize our visits to meet your unique needs, and the needs of your pets. During each visit, we strive to maintain your pet's normal routine and schedule as closely as possible. We can leave a "Daily Diary" note or send you an email after each visit so you will know how your pet's day went! Our goal is to earn trust and build personal relationships with your pets. Our priority is to give your pets as much love and attention as you would.

Walk Me
"Walk Me" visits give your dogs the exercise and attention they need and crave -- and helps to prevent isolation and boredom! Long workdays, hectic schedules, evening activities and physical limitations can make it impossible for you to accompany your pet on his daily walk. A dog is happier and healthier when exercised daily.
Each visit is approx. 25-30 minutes in length and includes a walk or backyard play if desired, and fresh water and treats if requested.

Other Services
We also offer other services to help make life with your pets easier:
- For those dogs who do well in boarding facilities, save yourself the time of transporting them, and possibly the extra overnight should you arrive home after closing. We can pick them up at your home, bring them to the facility, and then have them back at your home waiting for you when you get back!
- Send us to the pet supply store or your veterinarian office to pick up supplies, food, and medication.
- We can shuttle your pet(s) to the groomer and return them home looking and smelling great! We have "partnered" with Heidi's Elite Grooming in Hopkins (www.heidiselite.com) but can also take your pet(s) to the groomer of your choice.
Take Care of Me
When you must be away from home for a business trip, family vacation or other reason, finding suitable care for your pets can be a challenge. Pets can be stressed by changes in their routine, feeding schedule, sleeping arrangements,etc. especially when placed in unfamiliar surroundings. We will care for your pets in the comfort and safety of their own home so that they can feel more relaxed while you are away. Homecare is also part of each service, including security check; bringing in mail, papers, and packages; bringing garbage and recycling to and from the curb; alternating window coverings and lights; and watering houseplants.
Each visit is approx. 20-30 minutes in length and includes play, exercise, food, treats and fresh water, litter box and cage cleaning as needed, medications as required, and lots of personal attention so your pets feel safe and loved while you are away.

What is the First Step?
The first step is to contact Leashes & Litterboxes for a short phone interview to determine if our services would be a good fit for you and your pets. We would then schedule a complimentary, in-home "Set Up!" visit to meet you and your pets. During this visit, we will ask many questions in order to fully understand your pets' routines, health history, and any unique needs your pet may have. In order to provide the best care in your absence, this meeting is required prior to accepting any assignment.
This meeting typically lasts about 30-60 minutes, depending on the number of pets and services requested. We prefer not to rush through this visit, since it's important that your pets (and you!) have ample time to get acquainted with us, and feel comfortable with us. We will review Service Request agreements, Rate Schedule, and our Policies and Procedures. We will also answer any questions you have about our services. Remember, we customize all services to meet your specific needs, so you choose how often you want us to visit, and what services you would like performed at each visit.
Most importantly, this visit will allow your pets to get to know us and become familiar with us so they feel safe during our visits while you are away from home. By the end of this visit, we are confident that you will feel comfortable knowing that your pets, and your home, will be secure and and well cared for in your absence.

Jerri has been taking care of Winston since he was a 5 month old puppy. He is now 80 pounds and a great dog, in part, because of the wonderful care he has received from Jerri and her employees. They are professional, responsible, dependable, and most importantly, caring! At our initial meeting I was immediately impressed with Jerri’s professionalism and with the way she interacted with Winston. It was clear that she loved dogs and that Winston loved her! That meeting has been indicative of our ongoing relationship. She was patient and helpful while Winston learned how to walk nicely on a leash. Now Winston sits nicely and “shakes” for his treats plus he loves being with his dog friends that sometimes visit with Jerri and her staff. In addition to her relationship with Winston, we appreciate her business skills. She is organized, reliable, and flexible and often anticipates our needs before we do! In short, we would not have the peace of mind nor the great dog that we have if it weren’t for Jerri and her team.

Being a good single Mom to my 4-legged “daughter” is of highest importance to me. And because of Leashes and Litterboxes I know that my dog is getting the love, attention, exercise and socialization that she needs on a daily basis. Both Jerri and Theresa are the MOST trustworthy, responsible, and fun-loving doggie people ever! Not only do they completely live up to their Mission Statement, but they also treat each dog with the utmost respect. My dog knows Jerri as her “other Mother” and also loves her dear doggie friends, Jake and Daisy…….they complete her day. Leashes and Litterboxes has been a wonderful new friend to our rescued dog. Jerri's been outstanding in helping little Reka to learn to socialize with other dogs and to act like a dog by providing excellent care and supervision. Reka is happier, less timid and thrilled with her time with Jerri and her new friends. Jerri has become an invaluable part of our dog's life in a short time.
